  • The one where he starts to worry

Do you know the feeling that you get when you know that you are not prepared for an exam, yet you don't know what to study? Like even though you have time to study you just don't know what to do and you are not worried about the impending exam..

Well, that's how I was feeling a few days ago.. And I hated this feeling.. Essentially, I was worried that I'm not worried (does this actually make any sense?)..

But God had a plan.. He's one smart guy.. Hehe.. He actually arranged so that I had quite bad results for my assignment and report.. So now, im starting to worry about the exam.. Which is good, coz that means that i'm going to study hard for my stupid exam..

Pressure, pressure, pressure.. Seriously, I'm so pressurized now.. Haha... Too scared that if I screw up I will not forgive myself.. Wait.. Am I sounding crazy?

Anyway, to all those out there who are going through exams, God bless!!! And trust God.. I know I will... Hehe..

  • The one where everything goes wrong. (long post)

Hello people.. Today, it's going to be a long post, so hang tight.. The lesson today is "Sometimes you can't trust other people, especially if it's something important".. These past few weeks I've learnt this lesson time and time again..

Firstly, my group members.. You see, I have to do 3 group assignments for 3 of the units that I take, one of them being an oral presentation, in english (you'll see why this is relevant later).. So for this particular presentation, we're supposed to pick a topic and talk about it for 20 minutes.. Hence, we have to prepare. So we have meetings weeks before the presentation.

Now, I think it's time for you to meet my group members.. There are from 1) China (at least this one actually did some research). 2) Hongkong (where english is DEFINITELY not their first language. And 3) Singapore (no offence, but this guys was just a tad bit too confident..)...

Anyway, we arranged to have our first meeting.. And then what happened? The chinese girl disappeared.. I mean seriously, right after class she was gone.. Couldn't contact her and therefore we had to cancel our meeting.. A while later I went to the library and guess what, SHE WAS THERE!! Surfing the net.. I asked her why she didnt go to the meeting, and she just laughed.. LAUGHED.. Gosh..

Then, the worst was the Hongkee.. She was never at our meetings.. In fact, out of so many meetings, she only attended the last one.. Anyway, whenever we had a meeting, she would agree to the time the day before, but when we got there, she would tell us that she had another meeting going on.. The absolute worst was 2 days before the presentation..

It was a Sunday, and on the way home from church, she called me to ask if we could move the meeting up from 4pm to 3pm.. Happy that she actually wanted to come, I said yes (stupid me).. I went for lunch with the church people and  had to ask one of them to drive across town to send me back because it was getting late.. I got back and started waiting.. By 4, I was a bit pissed but ok.. At 5, I called this girl up and asked her where she was.. And her response was "Sorry, I cant come today".. I was like, 'um ok.. Why?' And then she said, and I quote, " None of your business.". By that time, if she were in front of me I would have strangled her.. hehe.. I'm kidding.. I think..

Long story short, I had to prepare the whole thing by myself, and actually teach them what to say, word for word.. Even the Singaporian guy..

And this is only one unit.. There's still 2 other group projects.. But I'll tell you guys those next time..

The actual trigger for this post was much more recent. Today, in fact.. Someone who I really trusted was supposed to do something for me.. All this person (person A) had to do was to not tell one particular person (person B).. Just one.. But guess what, yepp, A actually told B what A was not supposed to tell B.. I mean, A could have told the whole world and I wouldnt care.. But by telling B, it just wasted a lot of effort and planning on my part.. Haiz.. And the worst part is that I cant be angry at A because it was an accident...

Moral of these stories? If you want something done right, do it yourself.. Hehe.. See you guys soon, and congrats on reading this far..

  • The one where he gets a birthday surprise..

I got my birthday present today!! Sharon sent me a present from Malaysia and I got it today.. Pretty good timing.. Hehe.. And I love it!! Hehe.. My parents sent me something as well but it has not yet arrived..

Sharon also arranged a surprise birthday dinner for me.. First, she got Jon to tell me that he's going to take me out for dinner.. Then, when we got to Northbridge, he suddenly told me that i had to call a number (he typed a number into my phone), and then he left..

Ok.. Imagine this.. You are now in the middle of the city (in a particularly roudy and dangerous place), at night, ALONE, and with a phone number to call.. I called the number and a guy picked up and said " You now have to walk straight out of Utopia(where I was), turn left, and keep walking... Ok, now stop where you are standing and turn left.." And I'm thinking "crap, this guy can see me.." Sorta like a movie actually.. I was scanning everyone who hada phone to their ear..

In the end, I found out that my classmates from kk that were now in perth had come to celebrate my birthday with me.. We had dinner and I really had a good time catching up with them..

This is my first birthday away from my family, and trust me, it's really hard for me.. Oh well.. At least there are friends here who help to ease the pain.. Thank you Sharon!!

Well, see you guys soon.. Study break coming up, but I'm going to be super busy doing group assignments and research.. Argh.. Anyways, bye..

    Ps. I love you..

  • The one where he tells everyone about her..

I guess it was evitable that I would one day have to write this.. Ok, so here goes.. For those of you who dont already know, I have a girlfriend.. Sharon and I have been together for some time and I really love her a lot ( not trying to be all mushy)..

In the time that I have spent with her, I have really learnt a lot about myself.. I have also learnt a lot of stuff about her.. Although there were some rough patches (and i do foresee some more in the future), we have learnt to handle it and we have both learnt so much from this relationship.

The decision to tell you guys was made together as we think that this is the appropriate time.. The 20th is also incidentally our anniversary date (although in which month I will not tell)..

So, please do pray for us as we walk together and strive to be a Godly couple.. Thanks for taking time to read this blog..

    God bless..

p.s. I love you (I guess now you guys know who this is for)

  • The one where there is a decision to be made..

To stay or not to stay? Many ppl (I wont say all, as it would hurt the feelings of those still here in xanga) have changed to blogspot.. So i'm not sure if i should change.. Oh well.. I guess I have to follow my heart think about it and see first.. Hehe..

Oh, and has anybody watched the movie "He's just not that into you"? I wanna watch but dont really have a chance.. All the other guys dont want to watch because they think it's a girl's show are very busy ( i bet those who say that it's just a chick flick secretly watch it at home or something).. Oh well.. At least someone asked me to go watch it in an outdoor cinema (good news: She's a girl.. Bad news: Older.. By a lot.. Why do I always hang out with older girls?)..

And, for those of you Man United fans, dont worry.. Although having been defeated by such a large margin (most in 17 years or something like that i think), and having a guy sent off, and having such a lousy defence, Man U might actually just get lucky again and win the whole thing.. Go Man U!! Haha.. When I was watching the match in the casino (did I mention the hot chicks?), lots of ppl were leaving by the Liverpool's 3rd goal.. And you guys really should have seen Andrew's face.. The fella must have been praying very hard.. Haha.. Or just concentrating on the girls( again.. HOT..)

Oh well, gotta go sleep.. Need to go to skol to print off some stuff tomorrow.. Cheers!!

    p.s. I love pigs.. ( that's why I dont eat pork)
